The leadership of the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students’ Association (NUNSA) National, led by the National President, paid a strategic appreciation and partnership visit to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) at the Agency’s Headquarters.

The visit focused on deepening existing ties and acknowledging last year’s successful collaboration, which trained over 200 nursing students in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, Disaster Management, and Workplace Safety. As a token of appreciation, NUNSA National presented NEMA with a Prestigious Award of National Merit in Disaster Preparedness and Lifesaving Capacity.

The engagement also featured a strategic dialogue where NUNSA submitted a proposal for the forthcoming National Convention, inviting the Director General of NEMA to serve as Mother of the Day and seeking institutional support, including a one-day BLS Certification Workshop for nursing students.

Representing the Agency, the Director of Human Resources appreciated NUNSA for the visit and conveyed the goodwill of the Director General, reaffirming NEMA’s commitment to continued partnership and enhanced emergency preparedness training.

This engagement marks another milestone in NUNSA National’s commitment to excellence, collaboration, and strengthening the emergency response capacity of Nigerian nursing students.
