The Nigerian University Nursing Students Association (NUNSA) National successfully hosted a training session with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ skills in emergency response and community health.
The training provided students with hands-on knowledge and practical skills in:
📍Basic Life Support (BLS)
📍Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
📍First Aid Management
📍Safety Concerns in the Workplace
These sessions were designed to equip nursing students with essential skills to respond effectively to emergencies, promote workplace safety, and enhance their capacity to deliver quality care in diverse settings.
The National President of NUNSA emphasized that collaborations like this empower nursing students to be proactive health advocates, capable of making meaningful contributions to public safety and community well-being.
