26/06/2021

On the 17th of June, 2021, thirty Nursing students of the College were suspended for disobeying an executive order to welcome the President of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari GCFR, GCON. This suspension was to last for one week, after which the students were to report back with their parent or guardian.

The NUNSA National president, Comr. Nr. Reuben Markus Zirahgi, in his capacity and kind heart has intervened to see that the matter was resolved promptly.

The NUNSA National President on getting the information, swung into action and had both virtual and physical meetings with several stakeholders including the Provost, the SUG President of the school, NANSNM President and the State NANNM Leadership. These meetings proved effective as the suspended students have been called back and further punishment annulled.

The NUNSA President thanked the School management and the State NANNM for their swift response and urged Nursing students to be disciplined and be of good behavior as would-be professionals. He further totally condemned any act of abuse or victimization of Nursing students by anybody, be it internal or external and urged Nursing students to voice out in such conditions.
